Knox · DDI

Drop a document. DDI does the bookkeeping.

DoorVault Document Intelligence (DDI) is the Knox-powered engine that reads every document your portfolio produces. Closing statements, leases, invoices, PM statements, insurance, mortgage, taxes. Knox reads them, posts the right transactions, updates the right property, and files the source where you'll find it later.

A closing statement, the way DDI reads it.

DDI finds the line items that matter, posts them to the right places, and links every number back to where it came from. The gold tags show what each highlighted line is tagged as before it lands on your books.

What lands in your portfolio.

Reading a document is the start. The point is what Knox does with what it read.

01

Transactions posted

Every line item that affects your books shows up as a transaction on the right property, in the right category, with the source document attached.

Auto · reviewable
02

Records updated

Property values, loan balances, lease terms, insurance policies, vendor records, capital accounts. Knox keeps the underlying records current.

Field-level
03

Documents filed

The original PDF is filed against the property, the entity, the loan, the lease, or all of the above. Find it later by where it landed, not what it was named.

04

Anomalies flagged

Duplicate invoices, fees that don't match your management agreement, mortgage statements that drift from amortization. Knox flags it before you sign off.

Needs review

Knox shows its work. You keep control.

Automation that posts to your books without showing receipts is a liability. Every entry Knox posts carries the evidence, the confidence, and an undo.

Evidence linked

Every transaction, value, and date Knox posts links back to the exact line in the source document. Hover any number to see where it came from.

Common questions

What kinds of documents can I upload?
PDFs, images, scans, screenshots, emails with attachments. Anything from your closing folder, your property manager's portal, your insurance broker, your lender, or the city. If you would normally read it, file it, or post a number from it, Knox can take it from there.
Does Knox post entries automatically or do I review first?
Your choice. Auto-apply lets confident reads land on your books immediately. Review-first stages every read on a dedicated review screen with the source on one side and the proposed entries on the other. You can flip between modes anytime.
What if Knox reads something wrong?
Two things happen. First, you can undo the entry, edit it, or skip it entirely. The source stays attached, your books stay clean. Second, Knox learns from the correction. Tell Knox once that your PM uses "Mgmt Fee" instead of "Management Fee" and you won't see it again.
Can Knox handle multi-page packets?
Yes. Drop a 60-page closing folder, a stack of utility bills, or a PM packet with multiple statements. Knox splits the packet into the right documents, reads each, and files them against the right property.
Where does the original document go?
It's filed against every record that came from it. A closing disclosure attaches to the property, the loan, the entity, and the transactions Knox posted. Open any of them later and the source is one click away.
Is uploading documents safe?
Files are encrypted in storage and in transit. Sensitive fields like account numbers and SSNs are encrypted at the column level. Your portfolio is scoped to your household; Knox cannot read across portfolios.
Which plan includes Document Intelligence?
All of them, including the free plan. The free plan covers 2 properties with full document reading. Growth, Scale, and Enterprise add property capacity and higher monthly credit allotments.
